1. What is the CWIM Conference? 
Please check our "About" page for details. 

2. Do I need to be a physician to register? 
Yes. The Canadian Women in Medicine Conference is for physicians only. Our mandate is to support the well-being of women physicians by providing a safe and supportive environment to learn and connect with each other.  Our event also sells out each year, therefore we reserve our registration for physicians only. 

3. Is there a special CWIM Partner Rate? 
Yes! CWIM Partners will have early access priority registration and receive a $25 discount until January 3rd, 2021. It is only $75 to become a CWIM partner for 2020 so this is a great deal! Find out more and become a partner at: www.canadianwim.ca

4.  Where do I find my CWIM Partner Access Code? 
Your access code for early registration is the email address you used to register as a partner.  If your email isn't recognized, please send a note to cwimorg@gmail.com to check your partner status and confirm the correct email address. 

5. Can I register if I am not Canadian? 
Yes! You can register after January 3rd 2021. Please select "other" under Provincial College Affiliation and please email us at info@cwimconference.com with your details so that we can complete your registration.

6. Why are workshop  spaces limited when the conference is virtual? 
 Workshops are smaller group learning experiences. Spaces to view and participate live are limited,  and are set for each workshop to allow for optimal interactivity and participation.  If registration for live attendance is sold out, you can instead purchase the recording to view the content anytime between June 6th-Dec 31, 2021 (sessions will be clearly marked on the registration form if they are no longer available live).

7. What is a Workshop Bundle? 
This is new! We realize that not everyone can attend all of the workshops live. Some sell out, some overlap in their schedules, and not everyone can commit to a third full day of conferencing. We had A LOT of demand for workshop recordings this year, so we've added a highly discounted bundle of ALL workshop recordings that you can add-on and view on your schedule! 

8. I've already registered, but I want to add a workshop or change my address. How can I do this? 
You can make changes to your personal information, or add workshops  anytime by clicking on the login link in your confirmation email. 

9. Are the conference and workshops accredited? 
All of our previous CWIM Conferences have been CME Accredited. Information about 2021 will be posted when available. 

10. What if I can't make every session? 
Not a problem! All sessions will be recorded and available for viewing throughout the conference and for 6 months afterwards.
 
11. What about the infamous CWIM Swag Bag/Box? 
We will again have a limited number of Swag Boxes that will be mailed out to our Registrants....and yes, it will be even more fabulous than last year's box.....and no, we will not forget to spread the joy by way of loads of confetti.  We will update the site when the Swag Boxes are sold out! 

Addendum: Full Swag Boxes are now SOLD OUT. All new registrants will receive a Mini Swag Box. 

12. What about all the great networking and connection that happens at the CWIM in-person Conferences?  
We have incorporated some amazing opportunities to connect with your colleagues that hopefully mirror the experiences you'd get at an in-person event (minus all the hugs).  From a very "vibrant" activity feed, to sharing thoughts & photos on the platform, virtual round table sessions, virtual cocktails parties and interactive question periods, we promise you will feel some of the same warm and fuzzy feelings you've gotten from previous CWIM Conferences. 

13. Do I need any special technical skills to attend this virtual conference? 
No! The course will be held on a user-friendly platform and no technical skills are required. We do recommend a high speed internet connection to ensure the live-stream components are clear. 

14. Can we get together with friends and watch the conference as a group?
COVID-permitting, we do anticipate some small groups gathering across the country to view the live conference together. In fact, we even have some plans to enhance the "group viewing" experience for some gatherings, if this becomes a possibility. However, please do keep in mind that all members present and viewing MUST be independently registered for the event. In order to claim CME credits, claim your expenses or receive a Swag Box, you must be registered for the Conference. If unregistered persons are found to be viewing the event, they and their friends will be removed from the conference, without reimbursement. 

15. What is included in the conference registration?

16. What is a Premium Ticket?
Premium Tickets are virtual conference tickets with some special extras! Since we can't bring a bookstore to the event this year, we want to help enhance your learning (and make your lives easier) by bringing a book package to you! We also want to support small Canadian businesses by adding some hand-picked items from female-founded companies. Many of these companies can't manage 1000+ orders, so we decided to offer a small number of  Premium Tickets to be able to include these great items in the enhanced Swag Boxes that come with these tickets. Lastly, Premium ticket holders will get a 10% discount on all workshops (live workshops as well as recorded, post-conference access, and of course, the Workshop Bundle).

17. What is the conference refund policy?
All registrations and workshop fees are non-refundable. If your schedule changes and you are no longer able to attend some sessions, you can still access all recorded content until Dec 31st, 2021. You will also still be have access to online group discussions,  online course materials & receive a CWIM 2021 Swag Box delivered to your door! 

18. I need to escape my house to watch the conference! Is there a group hotel discount for hotels across Canada?

We are actively working on this! Stay tuned!
