Meet our amazing course faculty! These women are not only experts in their fields: they are authors, speakers, do-ers & big thinkers, ready to teach & inspire you.
Moderator: Jennie Aitken
Jennie works with emerging physician leaders across British Columbia as an educator, team-builder and (to the dismay of her colleagues) an “idea-generating-machine” that is constantly looking to the next big opportunity to affect positive change. She holds Masters Degrees in [Medical] History (Queen’s University) and Dispute Resolution (University of Victoria) and is a sought-after speaker and facilitator for health care audiences across Canada. When she’s not waving around post-it notes (she manages to do this on Zoom, too) you can usually find her on her mountain bike or chasing her toddler.

Lawyer, Forward Working - Learn, Leverage, Lead
Sara LutherMy mission is to work with a new kind of leader, willing to take brave steps to permanently embed respect and human rights into their organization for the benefit of all.Read more
I am a human rights lawyer, consultant, coach and educator. For more than a decade I focused on workplace investigations where I repeatedly saw the missed opportunities to align systems to organizational values and make it mean something for employees and stakeholders. The consequences were real and measurable not just for the involved parties, but for the employer.
In the end, we all want the same thing - to work in a respect-based culture. To achieve this requires a progressive and ongoing commitment.
My work now is to help organizations strengthen their institutional commitments through creating accountability-based policies and procedures. After the foundation is reset, we build professional development programs for management to ensure they have the knowledge and skills required to fulfill their responsibilities to model desired behaviour, guide their teams and intervene in conflict early and successfully.
When this work is triggered by a complaint or unproductive behaviours, it is often a symptom of systemic organizational issues. My approach is to help solve both.
